Austral® Plus 

General Description

Austral® Plus is an insecto-fungicide seed treatment for cereals (wheat and barley). It contains two active ingredients—Teflutrin (insecticide) and Fludioxonil (fungicide)—working synergistically to protect seeds against soil pests and seed-borne diseases.

Mode of Action

• Fludioxonil – contact fungicide, inhibits spore germination and mycelial growth, protects seeds against soil-borne diseases.
• Teflutrin – contact and vapor insecticide, acts on the insect nervous system and repels soil pests. 

Spectrum of Control

Austral® Plus protects seeds against a wide range of fungal pathogens and soil pests:

• Fungal pathogens: Fusarium spp., Tilletia spp., Microdochium nivale, Septoria nodorum, etc. 
• Soil pests: wireworms (Agriotes spp.), cereal ground beetle (Zabrus tenebrioides), cabbage root fly (Delia coarctata), etc. 

The active ingredients diffuse around the seed forming a protective “halo” in the soil to prevent pest attack. 

Application Recommendations

• Recommended rate: ~5 L of Austral® Plus per ton of seed, combined with 1–1.25 L of AG 40R adjuvant and 4–5 L of water for uniform coverage. 
• Used to treat wheat and barley seeds before sowing for protection against soil pests and seed-borne diseases.
