Affirm – Technical Sheet

PROPERTIES:

  • Affirm is a naturally derived insecticide obtained via fermentation, controlling a wide range of Lepidoptera in fruit, grape, and vegetable crops. It has a rapid “shock” effect on target insects, acting through contact and ingestion.

ADVANTAGES:

  • Affirm is rainfast and offers long-lasting protection through its dual ovicidal-larvicidal activity. It is selective for the environment and beneficial insects, with a favorable residue profile.
  • High efficacy against codling moth and fruit tree leafroller. Thanks to translaminar action, it penetrates plant tissues within 2 hours after application and forms reservoirs of active substance, protecting it from rain, UV, and temperature fluctuations, ensuring up to 14 days of protection in apples. Residues on leaves self-degrade within 2 hours. Effectiveness remains consistent even at extreme temperatures.

PHYSICO-CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Chemical group: Avermectins
  • Active ingredient: Emamectin benzoate 9.5 g/kg
  • Formulation: WG (Water-dispersible granules)
  • Mode of action: Local systemic (translaminar/penetrant)
  • Packaging: 1 kg

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS:

  • Apply before larvae emerge from eggs or at the appearance of the first larvae.
  • Do not exceed 2–3 treatments per season with Affirm.
  • Intervals between treatments: 7–10 days, depending on climatic conditions and pest pressure.
