APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS
AGIL 100 EC is fully selective for all dicotyledonous crops. Application depends on the weed spectrum, climatic and agronomic conditions, and the crop itself. For maximum effectiveness, AGIL 100 EC should be applied when the weed growth stage and growing conditions are optimal for rapid absorption and translocation in target plants.
Treatment should be carried out at the optimal weed development stage:
- Annual grasses (except Poa annua) at 1-2 leaf stage: 0.5 l/ha. In more advanced stages, dose increases to 1.0–1.2 l/ha. Poa annua: 1.0–1.5 l/ha at early stage.
- Perennial grasses: Sorghum halepense 30-40 cm – 1–1.5 l/ha; Agropyron repens 15–25 cm – 1–1.5 l/ha; Cynodon dactylon 15–20 cm – 1–1.5 l/ha.
Lower doses are applied for light infestations and optimal conditions, higher doses for heavy infestations and more difficult conditions. Apply with well-calibrated ground sprayer. Do not mix with anti-dicotyledon herbicides without compatibility test or use with minimum 3-day interval.
MODE OF ACTION
AGIL 100 EC contains Propaquizafop, which acts systemically against all grass weeds and is selective for dicot crops. Rapidly absorbed by leaves (~1 hour) and translocated to growing points including roots and rhizomes. By inhibiting enzymes and fatty acids in meristem cells, it ultimately destroys vital functions and kills weeds. Within 1–2 days, weed growth stops, leaves yellow, and after 10–12 days the plant dies. Effect is faster on young weeds and under optimal growth conditions. Excellent control of problem weeds, especially Agropyron and Sorghum species.
