Mode of Action
Discovery 250 EC is a systemic herbicide based on fluroxypyr, from the pyridine carboxylic acid group. Fluroxypyr is primarily absorbed through the leaves and quickly translocated both upwards and downwards in the plant. Acts as a synthetic auxin: leaves twist within hours, growth of sensitive plants stops immediately, tips chlorose, and plants are completely destroyed within 7–10 days. Fluroxypyr has no residual soil activity.
