Herbicide Pantera 4 EC
📌 General Description
Pantera 4 EC is a selective, systemic post‑emergence herbicide used to control annual and perennial grass (monocot) weeds in a wide range of broad‑leaf crops and other agricultural crops.
- Active Ingredient: Quizalofop‑P‑tefuryl, 40 g/L (4% w/v). :
- Chemical Class: Aryloxyphenoxypropionates.
- Formulation: Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC).
- Packaging: Typically 1 L plastic container (also found in larger sizes depending on market).
- Manufacturer/Brand: Various (often sold under Pantera®).
🧪 Mode of Action
Pantera 4 EC is absorbed through the leaves of target grass weeds and moves systemically throughout the plant via xylem and phloem. It inhibits the enzyme Acetyl‑CoA carboxylase (ACCase), disrupting fatty acid synthesis which is essential for cell membrane formation and growth, leading to weed death.
