Mode of Action
Proxanil SC is a systemic fungicide that combines the antisporulant effect of propamocarb with the fast penetrating, “kick‑back” curative effect of cymoxanil. Propamocarb interferes with phospholipid synthesis in fungal cells, while cymoxanil rapidly penetrates plant tissue for immediate curative action. The synergistic combination offers both preventative and curative disease control.
Target Diseases
Proxanil SC is primarily used to control late blight (Phytophthora infestans) and similar oomycete diseases on key vegetable crops.
