Description
Pyrus 400 SC is a contact fungicide designed to control Venturia diseases in fruit trees and gray mold on grapevine, sunflower, and tomatoes. It contains pyrimethanil, a new active ingredient with strong curative action. It is the only fungicide effective against the laccase enzyme produced by Botrytis cinerea, which causes wine oxidation and loss of aroma.
Mode of Action
- Contact, translaminar, and vapor activity
- Inhibits the fungus’s ability to produce infection-related enzymes
- Prevents cell division and lesion expansion in gray mold
- Pyrimethanil does not cause cross-resistance with triazoles, benzimidazoles, dicarboximides, morpholines, strobilurins, or phenylpyrroles
