Stomp® Aqua – BASF Herbicide
General Description
Stomp® Aqua is a soil herbicide for controlling annual grass weeds and some annual broadleaf weeds. It acts by inhibiting cell division and elongation in weed root meristems, stopping weed development immediately after germination or emergence.
Developed by BASF, the product is used on a wide range of agricultural and horticultural crops for pre-emergence weed control.

Mode of Action
The active ingredient pendimethalin acts in the soil, inhibiting both cell division and elongation in the root meristems of weeds, stopping their growth immediately after germination.
The microcapsule formulation protects the active ingredient and releases it gradually when the soil is moist, providing longer residual activity and higher efficiency against weeds.

Apply according to crop type, following official label recommendations.
Application Method
Apply pre-emergence (after sowing or before transplanting seedlings) on well-prepared, moist soil without large clods. For optimal efficiency, rainfall is recommended within the next 7 days.
Recommended spray volume: 200–400 l/ha. Typical doses: 1–4 l/ha, depending on crop type and infestation level.
Do not apply on soils with more than 10 % organic matter or on waterlogged fields.
Warnings and Precautions
- Avoid applying on excessively wet or poorly structured soils.
- Do not disturb soil after application to maintain residual activity.
- Ensure crop seeds are properly covered with soil.
